Privacy Policy

Budgetra ("we", "our", or "us") is a personal finance application for iOS and Android. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

Financial Data
All your financial data — expenses, income, budgets, goals, and categories — is stored on your device using an encrypted local database. We do not collect, transmit to our servers, or have access to your financial data.

Backups
Budgetra can make automatic backups of your data. Every backup — including its receipt photos — is encrypted on your device with a backup password that only you know (AES-256-GCM, with the key derived from your password using PBKDF2). We never receive your backups or your backup password, and without the password nobody, including us and the storage provider, can read them.
• iOS: backups are stored in your own iCloud Drive (Apple).
• Android: backups are stored on your device. Optionally, you can connect your Google account to keep a copy in your own Google Drive, so your backups survive reinstalling the app or switching phones.

Google Drive (Android, optional)
If you connect Google Drive, Budgetra requests only the "drive.appdata" permission. It lets the app store and read its own files in a hidden, app-specific folder of your Google Drive; the app cannot see, open, or change any other files in your Drive. Budgetra uses this access solely to upload, download, and remove its own encrypted backups (older backups are removed automatically, on the same schedule as on your device). The email address of the connected Google account is kept only on your device to show which account is connected and is never sent to us. Sign-in and access tokens are handled by Google Sign-In on your device.
You can disconnect Google Drive at any time in Settings → Backups; this stops syncing and deletes nothing. To delete the backups stored in Google Drive, open Google Drive → Settings → Manage apps → Budgetra → Delete hidden app data. You can also revoke Budgetra's access at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Budgetra's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy (https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy), including the Limited Use requirements.

Voice Input
Voice entry of expenses is an optional feature. When you use it, the audio recording and its recognized text are sent to our secure cloud functions (Google Cloud Functions) and a speech-recognition provider solely to process your command, and are then deleted immediately and never stored. The spoken phrase may contain an amount or a description of a purchase; only the names of your categories and goals are sent alongside it — never amounts, limits, or balances. You can always enter expenses manually without using voice.

Analytics Data
We use Firebase Analytics (Google LLC) to collect anonymous usage statistics, such as which features are used and how the app performs. This data does not include personal identification or financial information.

Crash Reports
We use Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC) to automatically collect crash reports when the app unexpectedly closes. These reports help us fix bugs. Crash reports do not contain your financial data.

Subscription Data
If you purchase Budgetra Pro, your subscription is processed by your device's app store — Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). To manage subscription status we use RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.), which receives an anonymized purchase identifier and its status — no payment or personal billing information.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use analytics and crash data solely to:
• Improve app stability and performance
• Understand which features are most useful
• Fix bugs and technical issues

We never use your data for advertising, profiling, or marketing.

3. Third-Party Services

The following services process anonymized or ephemeral (non-stored) data, or store your encrypted backups in your own account at your request:
• Firebase Analytics (Google LLC) — usage statistics
• Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC) — crash reports
• Google Cloud Functions (Google LLC) — voice input processing
• Speech-recognition provider — recognition of voice commands (audio and text are not stored)
• Apple App Store / Google Play — subscription management
• RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.) — subscription status management
• Apple iCloud Drive — storage of your encrypted backups in your own iCloud account (iOS)
• Google Drive and Google Sign-In (Google LLC) — optional storage of your encrypted backups in your own Google account (Android)

4. Data Storage and Security

Your financial data is stored locally on your device using an encrypted database (SQLCipher). It is never transmitted to our servers. Data leaves your device only in two cases: voice input, when the audio and recognized text are transmitted transiently for processing and are not retained afterward (see "Voice Input" in section 1); and backups, which are stored in your own iCloud Drive or Google Drive and are always encrypted with your backup password beforehand (see "Backups" in section 1). You are responsible for the security of your device and of your backup password: if you forget it, your backups cannot be restored.

5. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:
• Access your personal data
• Delete your data (by deleting the app and, if you use cloud backups, by deleting them from iCloud Drive or Google Drive — see section 1)
• Withdraw analytics consent (App Settings → Privacy)
• Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

6. Children's Privacy

Budgetra is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
